Hey all, it's been a little while, but we are super exited to announce the next Proto party and music show! This one features two bands - one of our favorite local groups comprised of Grade A musicians - Wavetree, and touring artist BB Palmer and his band. Save the date - Sunday September 27, 2pm, music starts between 3 and 3:30. Food provided as well as beverages but feel free to bring your own stuff as well. We plan to do it outside, but will move indoors for bad weather.

I met BB at the Star Bar a few months ago when I was doing a show with the Jeff Evans Porkestra. It was part of an all day festival. He went on before us, and my head turned when I heard him. I have to admit I am not a fan of most country music, but I am also open minded to hearing new things. He definitely has the country influence, but his brand is so unique and special that it transcends genres. I got his contact info for a potential future booking right after he finished, and after checking out his tunes, I am glad I did! The second band of the afternoon/evening is Atlanta legends of Wavetree. Lead by top Atlanta names - George Price (guitar/vocals), Barry Richman (guitar), Charlie Korch (drums), and Joel Edwards (bass/keys, vocals) Like BB, they transcend genres - from blues, to rock, to jazz, to fusion - these guys can do it all and they do it well, as Atlanta music enthusiasts know. George is a regular guest performer at our Napoleons Blues Jam, and he is quite amazing doing improvisations, holding it down on both bass and guitar, working with up and coming young talent, and performing with the energy and stage presence we have all come to know and love.

Info for performer #2 at the next Proto house concert on June 28. Look for the invite coming soon! I met Kimmer at Bill and Spencer's Open mic at Napoleon's. From her first performance, I was captivated by her energy, passionate vocals, and inspiring stage presence. I am honored to have her perform and share her spirit with us. I hope you can come see her! She will be performing from 4:45 - 5:45, and then we will have a set up there for anyone who is inspired to play - I will also have my percussion set up.

Kimmer is a singer-songwriter and musician whose life and work are rooted in a deep love for Jesus and a lifelong passion for music. Coming from a rich heritage of musicians, Kimmer was immersed in music from an early age.
From childhood, music served as a powerful way to express her faith, navigate life’s journey, and connect with others. Over the years, that passion has grown into a mission: to create music that encourages, uplifts, and points people to the love and hope found in Christ.

Save the date!!! The next Proto party and concert will be on Sunday June 28, 2pm - dark. We will be indoors for the summer months until it gets cooler outside where we can move outside for at least a couple of events in the fall. This will be an acoustic showcase with two performances. Here is the bio on the first performance going on from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm.

Thirsty Neighbors -
Jen and Casey of Thirsty Neighbors perform a mix of crowd favorites and original songs, driven by acoustic guitar, rich vocal harmonies, and an energetic stage presence. Drawing inspiration from multiple decades and genres of music, they create a sound that feels both familiar and fresh.

Having performed at breweries, bars, and local venues throughout the Atlanta area over the past several years, Thirsty Neighbors have built a reputation for delivering fu, engaging performances that connect with audiences of all ages. Whether playing laid-back acoustic favorites or upbeat sing-along classics, they bring a neighborly spirit and genuine love of music to every show.

House concert on rain or shine this SUNDAY, 2pm doors open, music starts at 3, and just to be doubly sure, we will be moving the bands to indoors. We have done this before indoors so it should not be an issue. Another few things to clear up - this is NOT a block party, nor am I selling tickets to this event. We will have a donation bucket for requested donations to help me pay the bands, pay for the food, and pay for the pro sound audio engineer. If you can guess why I am forced to disclaim this on social media, more power to you. Thats what is going on. We will be moving back outside in the fall when the weather gets cooler again.
