In the Bible, being “lukewarm” refers to a half-hearted, indifferent attitude toward faith and spiritual matters. God desires commitment and passion from His followers, not complacency. Lukewarmness reflects spiritual stagnation, where a person is neither fully devoted to God nor fully disengaged. Scripture calls believers to live with fervor, seeking to honor God with all their heart. Here are 3 Bible verses that address the dangers of being lukewarm in faith, with commentary for each verse.
1. Revelation 3:15-16
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”
Jesus rebukes the church in Laodicea for their spiritual indifference. This verse shows that lukewarmness in faith is unacceptable to God. He desires either full commitment or a clear rejection, but spiritual apathy is repulsive. It calls us to renew our passion for Christ.
2. Matthew 22:37
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'”
Jesus emphasizes that our devotion to God should be wholehearted. This verse contrasts with lukewarm faith, calling believers to love God with every part of their being. Half-hearted love is not enough; God seeks a complete, passionate commitment from His followers.
3. James 1:22
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
James warns against passive faith. Hearing God’s Word without acting on it leads to self-deception. Lukewarm believers may listen to sermons or read Scripture but fail to live it out. This verse encourages active obedience, which is essential for true faith.

Awake O Sleeper... and I don't mean because this post is being posted at 3 AM mountain time for you to awake from your sleep.

Ephesians 5 is a great meditation/reflection on how we are to shine our light once we are out of the darkness. If you're still in the darkness and desire to walk in the light reach out . If you're in the light but your oil lamp is low, and you need a follower of Christ reach out.

Ephesians 5 can be a great meditation this morning. If you never thought about yourself as a saint… true disciples/followers of the way the truth in the life are ... Well you are

But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.” Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ. Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.”

This morning as I am listening to a guided prayer on the below scripture in the Bible app the Lord stopped me when it came to the prescriptive prayer it suggested I pray. And he said don't pray somebody else's words pray the words I want you to pray. So as you see below I scratched out a lot of the words that were there and replaced them with what the Lord was laying on my heart! Just because you may have been programmed to believe somebody else's a.k.a. words sound better, or another person in the flesh you should follow ..... don't fall PREY to that! Remember you are always being Preyed on as a LIGHT of the Lord, when you are following Him when you put Him first above everything and everybody in your life.. When you have no 'idols' of this world, in the flesh! When you are willing to lay down your life as He lay down His life for us. 
Allow Him in to help you break any chains still binding you, any strongholds, any ancestral things in your cell structure that keep repeating over and over.... cycles or patterns in your life and your descendants ... He wants to deliver you.... what's it going to hurt you to let him?

My advice on increasing the number of people that you share your testimony and the word of God with. imagine when you share with five people each day and you have 10 conversations flowing… Imagine how He would be smiling and glorified! I have one thing to do today and that is to follow Him.

This image had nothing to do with being cold temperature wise it had all to do with being wise and wearing light material that would cover my skin from being burned by the sun. The lesson here is I can't always plan for everything that I am unaware of that lays in my path of my day, but I can always first seek the kingdom for the answers. Two great references in the word he left us for instruction are Matthew 5 and 6 thank you Yeshua for all of the instructions you left for us.

Some great Wisdom shared. I would change the wording on this that your mouth could be a gun and your words could be a bullet. It's a choice. 

The best Lesson’s learned are by God’s cleansed people (BORN AGAIN), because they know the TRUTH as it is his word. He left us instructions on what to do and what not to do. It is clear when you ask Yeshua for eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to be purified.
