NAMIC Atlanta is currently recruiting candidates for the Board position of Vice President. This is a fantastic chance to join our leadership team and make a significant impact on the media and entertainment industry.

👥 Vice President Role Description:

• In the absence of the president, the vice president shall perform the duties of the president and have all the powers and duties of the president.
• The vice president shall perform other duties assigned by the chapter board of directors or the president.
• The vice president shall supervise the functioning of all committees for the chapter and act as a consultant to them.

🙋‍♀️ Why Lead? Becoming a chapter leader provides numerous opportunities to develop leadership, business, and strategic management skills. In this role, you will be able to:
• Build efficient and effective teams
• Gain direct access to the National Board of Directors
• Attract, nurture, and develop leaders

• Host, moderate, and participate in industry panels

⏰ Considerations for Candidates:

• Membership: Must be an active member of NAMIC and affiliated with the respective chapter you seek to lead.
• Time Commitment: Most chapters meet once a month by phone or virtually (nine to ten times annually), with minimal work between meetings. Chapter officers must also attend NAMIC national quarterly meetings.
• Terms: Officers are elected for two-year terms and can be re-elected for one additional two-year term.
• Diverse Representation: We encourage candidates from varied cultural backgrounds, companies, and job functionalities. The chapter will be stronger with those who can contribute their expertise in areas such as programming, fundraising, membership development, marketing, communications, and financial planning.
• Company Support: Flexibility to participate in chapter meetings and local events is ideal. Nominees who have access to industry leaders can help build a strong constituency.
