Patty Rollins started Bliss108 Jewelry Design after a trip to Thailand with her husband. There she was given Buddhist prayer beads, or mala, from a monk who then blessed them for her. These are 18” necklaces. I create new pieces every day. Each necklace, I design and place each bead in its perfect place. They all have exactly 108 beads, creating a symbolic mala with a sterling silver “guru bead” that you wear in the front.

I set up a palette before I start making a LoveBead necklace. I always lay turquoise on the bottom, because it’s such an essential stone in my pieces. ❤️ spread the love

I finally sat down to my work bench after a year to create one of my LoveBead necklaces for my dear friend Gayetrii. Her husband, Charles Earl, commissioned me for a surprise Valentines Day gift. I held my dear friend in my heart as I created it and it came out just as I wanted. Charles texted me later to say, " Gayatri was floored! It is a cherished treasure. Take care and hope you return to LoveBeads, they are a work of art." Thank you to both Gayatri and Charles for the inspiration to begin creating again.
