What an honor it was to spend time with the incredible educators, staff, administrators, and Board of Trustees of the Aberdeen School District in Mississippi. Thank you to Interim Superintendent Mrs. Candi Moore-Saul for the invitation and the opportunity to share my heart. To everyone who serves this district, whether you’re leading a classroom, driving a bus, preparing meals, keeping the buildings running, serving on the Board of Trustees, or supporting students behind the scenes, never forget that your purpose is greater than your position. My message was simple: Treat people right. When people know they matter, they become empowered to do extraordinary things.
As this school year begins, remember that every conversation is a chance to inspire, every challenge is an opportunity to lead, and every child who walks through your doors is carrying a future full of possibilities. Thank you for allowing me to pour into such an amazing district. I left Aberdeen believing that your greatest strength isn’t found in your buildings, but in your people. Have an incredible school year, and keep making a difference one life at a time.

I began with a reminder I live by: every morning I give myself a round of applause. Sometimes you may be the only one cheering for you, and that is enough to keep moving forward.
