We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of the City of Greenville's brand-new walking trail, located near the old high school football field! 🎉🏃‍♂️🌳 This marks Phase 1 of a larger vision for this site.

The entire lot has been cleared, and we’re just getting started! Phase 2 will bring even more enhancements to this community space, including:
✅ Benches for relaxation
✅ Picnic tables and grills for gatherings
✅ A playground for our children to enjoy
✅ A pavilion for special events and community use

We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the walking trail today and stay tuned for updates as we continue developing this wonderful space for our community!

Subject: Update on My Participation in Meetings to Benefit the City of Greenville

Hello Constituents,
I hope this message finds you well. As your Mayor Pro Tem, I want to keep you informed about the various meetings I have been actively participating in to address the needs and concerns of our community. These meetings are part of my ongoing efforts to explore new ways to improve and enhance the City of Greenville.
Recently, I have attended several important meetings, including:
• GMA District 4 Spring Listening Session in Woodbury, GA – April 15, 2024
• Meeting with Andrea Wiggins (Senator Warnock's Office) – August 19, 2024
• Community Affairs Housing Workshop in Columbus – August 29, 2024
• GMA District 4 Listening Session in Warm Springs, GA – September 25, 2024
• As Mayor Pro Tem, I submitted a request for quotes to contractors for a new park project our city is pursuing. I personally met with over eight contractors to ensure we secure the best possible quote for the benefit of our city.
These gatherings have provided invaluable opportunities for me to learn from experts, collaborate with fellow leaders, and bring fresh ideas back to Greenville to help move our city forward. I am committed to working diligently on behalf of our community and want to ensure that you are aware of the progress we are making.

I'd like to give a huge shout out to our City Senior Citizen Director, Shekina Favors, as well as our City Clerk, Katrina Roberson, and Court Clerk, Shantress Thrash. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to all the volunteers who helped make the Senior Citizen Game Night a fantastic success. The event was excellently organized, had a great turnout, and brought together a wonderfully diverse group of people.
