Calling all Agents!!!

Don’t let what’s good hold you back from what’s great
In real estate, it’s easy to get caught up in the details.
There are so many things to consider when buying or selling a house: budget, market value, location, and more.
But if you’re looking to make a big change in your life—like moving across the country or going from renting to owning—it can be tempting to focus on all of the factors that make it difficult.
Don’t let those factors hold you back! If this is something that matters enough for you to do, it’s worth doing right.

When you’re looking for a real estate agent, how do you know who’s the right one?
When you’re looking for a realtor, it’s important to do your research and find someone who’s a good fit—someone who understands your needs, is trustworthy, and has a reputation for being a good agent.
First, look for someone who’s good at what they do. Then ask them about their experience.
If they can’t answer your questions, or if they seem like they don’t have much experience at all, move on to someone else. You deserve the best—don’t settle for less!

Here are some of the things to keep in mind as you’re looking for your next home:
1. A real estate agent who knows their stuff and is there to help you find your dream home.
2. An open mind. You never know when a potential house will be right around the corner!
3. A neighborhood preference, so that we can narrow down what areas are most likely to meet your needs.
4. Coffee for every meeting! (Or tea.)
5. Pre-approval from a lender before starting your search—this will help ensure that your home loan is approved before you start looking at homes in earnest.
6. Your needs list! What is it that you feel is a non-negotiable in your next home?

You can wish for your dream home—and maybe it will happen.
But on the other hand, there’s this whole planning that has to happen first: getting pre-approved for a mortgage, figuring out whether your credit score is high enough for the loan, looking at homes, and narrowing down what you’d like to buy, and on and on.
It’s not that easy to just wish your way into a new home. There’s work involved! That’s why it’s best to plan for your future.

When you take care of your home, you’re not just cleaning. You’re building equity.
Your home is an investment, and its value will go up over time if you keep it in good shape.
A clean house attracts buyers, whether it’s a potential buyer looking to move in or someone who wants to sell your home as a seller.

There’s no denying that a home that looks well-kept will sell faster than one that has been neglected. But if you’re thinking about selling your home, you might be wondering: should I make repairs before I list my home?
The answer is: it depends on the type of repair you need to make.
Some factors to consider:
1. Is it a hot real estate market?
2. Are most homes selling as-is?
3. Are the repairs major, and will buyers likely discount their offers due to this?
Also, some repairs may offer a high ROI, including replacing windows and roofs.
At the very minimum, consider fixing anything that’s worn and torn. If your budget allows, go for larger repairs.

If you’re ready to take the leap into home ownership, it’s important to know how to prepare yourself. Here are some tips:
1. Boost your credit score. Your credit score is an important factor in whether or not you’ll be approved for a mortgage loan. If yours isn’t as high as you’d like, make sure to review it thoroughly and make any necessary changes.
2. Save money for a down payment. The more money you can put toward your down payment, the better chance you have at getting approved for a loan—and the lower your monthly payments will be!
3. Get pre-approved by a lender. Pre-approval means that lenders have already looked over your financial situation and determined that they are willing to give you a loan if needed; this will help them move more quickly when it comes time to close on the deal!
