The Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces provides care and comfort to members of the United States Armed Forces and their families.

Recently, the Red Cross participated in an Organization Day for the 87th Division Sustainment Support Battalion at Fort Stewart, where volunteers and staff shared information about Red Cross emergency communication services.

During a family emergency or the birth of a child, sending a Red Cross Message through the Hero Care Network is the first step in helping a service member return home.

To speak with a Hero Care Specialist, call +1 877-272-7337.

Always learning. Always ready to help. ❤️

This past weekend, a few of our Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteers participated in disaster assessment training, building the skills they need to evaluate damage during a disaster response. We don't know what we'd do without this incredible team!

We're proud that six Georgia Red Cross volunteers are among those helping communities in need. Thank you to everyone making this relief effort possible.

🩸 Double your impact. Help save lives.

A Power Red donation lets you safely donate two units of red blood cells during a single appointment, helping meet the urgent need for blood during the Red Cross national blood crisis.

"Having those units available is crucial," said Red Cross Regional Donor Services Executive Garrett Reid.

“There were times when I needed them frequently, sometimes multiple transfusions during hospital stays. Those transfusions became a critical part of helping keep me alive and strong enough to continue treatment.” — Hope Hall, cancer patient.

When Hope needed blood, generous donors were there, giving her another chance at remission. Today, countless other patients are depending on that same kindness.

The American Red Cross is facing a national blood crisis, with a critical need for donors, especially those with type O blood. Your donation could help someone facing cancer, recovering from trauma or surgery or in treatment for a life-threatening illness.

You may never meet the person whose life you help save but to them and their loved ones, your gift could mean everything.

Connecting with our community is one of the best parts of what we do! ❤️

Red Cross staff and volunteers enjoyed meeting families at the Annual Back2School Bash at Beulahland Bible Church in Macon, Georgia.

Through a fun trivia game, we shared information about volunteer opportunities, including serving on a Disaster Action Team or as a Blood Donor Ambassador.

We also talked with community members about Red Cross training and the skills they can gain through our classes.
