Today we woke up to dog p**p by our bed, an overflowed toilet, and a double ear infection toddler. 🤪

As you can probably imagine, we imagined this day a little different. Actually, we were supposed to be at the beach celebrating 8 years…oh !

But one thing real life has taught us is…ya gotta learn to roll with the punches. And sometimes all you can do is look at each other and laugh. 😂

But honestly, the only way we were able to do that today was . I swear time has aged our marriage like a fine wine, but it’s no doubt been a rough process. But every time. God. He continues to show up in ways we couldn’t have even imagined. Transforming our hearts. Our minds. Our marriage. Each and every single day.

Happy Anniversary baby! Here’s to real life and these regular days full of p**p AND God’s promise!

Delayed Merry Christmas y’all!
It was a jam-packed 48 hours of family fun…and a pipe burst! 🤪 🥶

Despite the soggy surprises, we were very grateful to celebrate the best present of all - Jesus! - with the kids and family!

And this Christmas felt extra special. Not going to lie - though this year has brought much joy and blessing, it has also brought us to our knees. From hardships and health scares - to heartaches and hurts, we've endured more than just a pipe burst in 2022.

But it's not the sunny days that bring growth and change - but the rainy ones. Our faith and relationships have been strengthened in ways we couldn't even imagine. Our community has helped us weather the chaos - and the Lord has helped us find the message in the mess. But aren't we all messes? A beautiful mess but a mess nonetheless. We're thankful that we aren't the same people we were 1/1/2022. We are moving forward - being conformed into the image of Christ - learning to pursue, forgive, and extend grace to one another just like Christ has done for us.

No matter what the next 365 days bring, let's "Be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances" (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

Had a moment while on vacation in Pawleys Island, SC this weekend! Witnessed this beaut roll through Friday. Shelf cloud approaching…strong cool outflow hitting us…then blinding rain. Ruined the rest of our beach day - but pretty neat to see textbook pics in real life!

Guess who's back!!
Hi everyone! Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Colleen and I'm a freelance meteorologist for The Weather Channel. I'm also a wife to my college sweetheart and a mom to now TWO beautiful girls. I love clouds, kale, sunsets and Jesus. Over the past several weeks, I've been learning to embrace spit up, change diapers, and function on more coffee than sleep! Yes, I'm now a momma to a teen AND a newborn! Life of course has been moving in the fast lane - juggling school and sport activities with baby bottles and pediatrician appointments - but I'm soaking up every moment. Each one is sweet in its own way as we grow closer together as a family of 4. Thank you everyone for your sweet messages, wishes, and prayers. Been very grateful for this stretch of uninterrupted family time. And now - excited to sprinkle in some TV weather days here and there! See you on the tube!
