Hello Friends. The time has come to retire from Home Inspection in Atlanta. It has been a wonderful 22 years. Crawlspaces and attics have taken their physical toll and I am no longer able to crawl around in confined spaces without consequences. I will miss you all. Take Care, Rick

There's your problem.

21+ years inspecting homes and I only recently ran into this genius move TWICE in one month. Retractable attic stairs installed over stairs. Scary, unsafe, unstable. What's not to love?

A talented carpenter made this attic access off the stairs in a 50's bungalow. The door clears the far wall, as well.

This one may be hard to understand from the photo. A shower, with wood trim around the tub, and painted drywall within the shower area.
