In honor of 9/11 remembrance, we dropped by local fire and police stations so the kids could deliver some treats and say a huge thank you to our local first responders. It’s a privilege to show our children the real-life heroes who protect our community every single day. We will always remember the sacrifices made 25 years ago, and we will always support those who continue to serve today. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice! ❤️🤍💙

Kids LOVE slime and this recipe is perfect for spooky season! Playing with slime actively strengthens the small muscles in the hands and fingers, which improves dexterity and coordination for daily tasks.

Baking Soda Dancing Ghost Slime

Materials

1 cup white school glue
1 cup water
1 tablespoon baking soda
Green food coloring
Black foam or paper
Contact lens solution containing boric acid or borate
Mixing bowl
Spoon

Instructions

Step 1
Mix the glue and water in a bowl until smooth.

Step 2
Add the baking soda and stir thoroughly.

Step 3
Add a few drops of green food coloring and mix until evenly colored.

Step 4
Gradually add contact lens solution while stirring until the mixture begins to pull away from the bowl.

Step 5
Knead the slime with clean hands until it becomes stretchy and less sticky.

Step 6
Shape the slime into a ghost and add black eyes and an open mouth.

Step 7
Stretch and bounce the ghost slime to create a dancing effect.

Tips

Add contact lens solution slowly to avoid making the slime too firm.
Knead longer if the slime feels sticky.
Store the slime in an airtight container when not in use.
