As a native Atlantan, I'm proud to call this city home for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that it's the literal cradle of the Civil Rights Movement. John Lewis was one of the pioneers and greatest champions of this movement. I had a chance to briefly meet with and speak to Congressman Lewis in the fall of 1992. As short as our exchange was, it is still burned clearly into my memory to this day. I hope you are as proud as I am to call this city home.
