Sculpture Studio-Fabrication-Art classes
Maria Sarmiento is a successful prolific Latin-American sculptor living in Atlanta. Her work is own by collectors around the world. This Colombian artist works in semi abstract style using mix media to create her sculptures that range from large-scale art to small wall table tops pieces. Mariaโs inspiration comes by nature as well as by her travels and interest in old cultures specially prehistoric and pre-Columbian. Her work incorporates traditional materials, green (recycling) and new light technology.
Additionally Sarmiento Studio offers fabrication in a variety of materials and techniques for sculptural and none sculptural applications.
Besides her personal work Maria teaches sculpture because she loves the interaction with younger artists, that keeps her mind active and engaged. Her teaching philosophy is simple, she wants to inspire others and transmit the passion and determination to be a good artist.
