I used to be fairly quiet about my faith. I am not quiet about it anymore….it is because He saved me, that I can do the hard things like still working in this crazy music business. He gave me a gift and it’s up to me to put it to good use, while serving Him. He gives me the strength to push on…He gives US the strength to push on!
I came up in an era where publicly, I was told never to discuss my politics or religion, as it would likely alienate some people. I haven’t felt good about that for some years now. I want to shout about my love of Jesus from the rooftops, and write & sing about Him. I can still sing about our current life issues too. Heartbreak, cheating, drinking, love…all of it, but He is who sends me the inspiration as I hold the pen. I never judge those who are not believers, that’s above my pay grade…but, I’m grateful for the grace, mercy, and kindness He has given me in this short time I get to be here on earth. As we celebrate today, remember it’s really not about egg hunts and bunny’s…pastel colors and all of that fun stuff. It’s about resurrection, redemption, and the miraculous gift God gave us when He gave His only son for our sins. I will never be quiet again. Happy Easter everyone! ✝️🙏🏼❤️

I always said….”When Robert Duvall leaves this world and flys away to the great by and by, I’m going into mourning for many days”. Well, he made it in true Augustus McCrea style. 95 years old and passing peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by loved ones. What an icon. What a beautiful body of work he left behind. What passion. He loved to dance the tango. He loved Country Music, he took his work seriously, but not himself. He became each of his characters and they all touched our hearts deeply. He played a cowboy like a true natural (not an easy feat). I named my dog after his Lonesome Dove character…cause he’d probably cheat at cards for a poke (from his puppy admirers). Mr. Duvall, you will be missed immensely…and this cowgirls heart will forever have an empty place where you belong. It’s been a hell of a party! 💔

Found this lil gem…I couldn’t be more proud, thrilled, or inspired by Talk about a whirlwind!!! She’s making us all so happy representing our music…carrying the torch with grace, style, love, and damn hard work! This is post show and I’m sweating like crazy but Lainey and her stunning Mama Michelle, are settin the world on fire now!
