AC Units uses refrigerant to cool and in some cases heat your home. If you are told that your unit is low on refrigerant, then ask your technician to identify where the unit is leaking. Refrigerant is part of a closed looped system within your unit and should not leak nor deplete. Adding refrigerant to a leaking system is against environmental laws and more expensive to you as the property owner over time. As a technician, I’m usually asked to top off units with refrigerant. My answer is let’s detect the leak and repair it. Would you drive around town with a leaking gas tank in your car? Have your unit serviced regularly to maintain efficiency. Waiting until a malfunction occur will cost you triple on top of setting in a hot house.

Next project. I’ve installed two recessed lighting fixtures in the ceiling above an old refurbished book self. Of course, adding dimmable lights on each shelf helps create an ambiance when needed. I’m in search of a nice art piece to pull everything together.
