The Bell Building on Auburn Avenue in Atlanta was slated for demolition in 2015.
It was successfully saved (thanks, all!) and has been fully renovated & opened in 2025 as GSU's Student Success Center.

The blue barriers have been removed and the beautiful exterior of the newly renovated Bell Building is on display!
Check out the nice "25-27 Auburn Avenue" lettering on the front.
Whenever you need a little boost, you'll always be able to walk past here and think about how these two structures were once doomed, and how GSU was convinced to do the right thing and reuse them.

What a beautiful sight!! The scaffolding is now off the Bell Building. It's hard to believe that just a few years ago Georgia State University was going to demolish this and replace it with the parking lot. Once again, big thanks to everyone who played an important role in saving this building and convincing Georgia State to do the right thing. It's becoming a Student Success Center, but it's already a 'success' in my book.

Exposed bricks on the side of the Bell Building! They were covered in white paint for many years. Work continues on the Auburn Avenue side, and several crew members were on site today.
