When sunlight is shining through your attic skylight… that’s not a vibe — that’s a warning sign. ⚠️❗️⚠️

Visible light + drip marks down the drywall = active moisture intrusion.
And with no insulation present, that water has nothing slowing it down before it hits your ceiling.

What this usually means:
• Failed flashing or seal around the skylight
• Roof pe*******on allowing water intrusion
• Ongoing moisture damage inside the attic
• Higher energy loss with zero insulation protection

Water doesn’t fix itself. It spreads.

If you’re seeing stains, streaks, or daylight where it shouldn’t be — it’s time to investigate before it turns into mold, rot, or drywall replacement.

Attic issues don’t stay in the attic! 🫣

George Washington University's med school is offering a new course taught by Dr. Andrew Heyman, "Understanding Mold Illness: The Basics".

It's geared towards medical professionals who are not yet mold literate, but also towards IEP's, Remediators, Policy Makers, etc.

VERY exciting to see a respected University add this their offerings!

📚 Course Description: "This course is designed to teach the medical basics of mold related illness to ancillary providers and industry professionals. While mold exposure is well known to cause allergic responses and pulmonary disease, less well recognized is the inflammatory response generated in vulnerable individuals. Over the past decade, countless research studies have uncovered the systemic reactions to mold and mycotoxins, and the resultant multi symptom, multi system illness that arises. This course is designed to cover the fundamental mechanisms by which this illness arises and offer a framework for ancillary providers and industry professionals to communicate effectively with this clinical population."

➡️ In short, it is an in-depth overview of Dr. Shoemaker's research and protocol. While I'm not a hardcore Shoemaker disciple myself, I have deep respect for the work he has done to identify and bring light to mold illness. I'm also not a medical practitioner, but as an IEP serving the mold affected community, I think it's so important to never stop learning and to be willing to learn from all camps in this space so that I can meet my clients where they are.
