Sad to have a solid cook and walk away with a rubber check. At least we didn't win Grand and weren't a vendor that potentially lost thousands of dollars.
GBI investigates music festival in Carrollton After complaints from vendors, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the Chattahoochee River Country Music Festival at the VFW Fairgrounds in Carrollton last month.
Kudzu Q knocked the dust off the smokers and had a pretty good cook this weekend.
Lost the tie breaker on chicken to finish 11th.
10th in pork, 4th in brisket and 7th overall.
Not a bad cook for not cooking in over 9 months.
And not to be remiss, congratulations to Warren County Pork Choppers for Grand Champion, TrueBud BBQ for Reserve Grand, and everyone who got a call in this tough field of teams.
Had a great weekend at the The National BBQ Cup with friends old and new. Two top 10 calls and a 14th place overall finish out of 86 very good teams only made it better. Thanks to everyone for the good mojo!

Bbq time. Oakridge BBQ game changer brine and secret weapon chicken. So good.
We need some good powerful mojo this weekend. Headed to the National BBQ Cup to go head to head with almost 90 of the best teams around. Looking forward to a great weekend!
