Dixie Delights

Family, good food and a house full of more kids than I could count… I couldn’t have asked for a better Easter weekend.

Grateful this Easter for so many reasons, especially our Savior ✝️💕

This was my favorite part of the whole night. The people. 🖤🤍

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Today I turn 50.

I don’t know that I’ve done everything perfectly over the last five decades, but I do know this… I have no regrets. I raised the kids, loved the husband, got the dogs, took the trip, accepted the job, and showed up with my whole heart.

Friday night I celebrated with a house, yard and driveway full of friends and family at the party of my dreams. My parents helped pull it all together, and John rolled into town just in time to join the fun.

This morning started with coffee among the balloons and flowers, bagels from my favorite spot and some of the people I love most.

Here’s to the years ahead. Good food, good wine, good friends, belly laughs, Taco Tuesdays and celebrations that don’t wait for an occasion.

Grateful for this life and everyone in it. Cheers to 50. 🥂
