Five years ago, I moved to North Carolina with no idea what God had in store.
This stop of the tour took us from in Durham to the heart of Raleigh, where I got to sit in conversation, build community, and do what I love.
But what I’ll remember most is looking around the room and seeing people who have supported me, poured into me, prayed for me, and believed in me show up✨
There’s something special about being WITNESSED while walking in your purpose.
What started as passion continues to unfold into purpose.
S2 E2 of —Carolina, Raise Up is now streaming on YouTube and Spotify.
Thank you to NCCU, our guests, and everyone who shared space with us along the way.
Sometimes God doesn’t give you the whole plan. He simply asks you to stay in motion. And if you do, He has a way of blowing your mind✨

Whew.
Thank y’all so much for showing up, showing love, buying books, donating, celebrating, and pouring into this moment with me. What started as a book signing quickly turned into a room full of community, laughter, storytelling, and support for the next generation of HBCU women✨
A huge thank you to Kyle & for opening your doors to us, supporting the mission, and contributing to the Mentorship Program. Thank you for always believing in the work and being a champion for our students!
And to my friends and family… baby, y’all showed OUT! Do you hear me?🥹💕 Every text, hug, repost, purchase, and surprise meant the world to me. Special shoutout to my girls for loving on me the way you do—and for my beautiful x bag. A girl felt celebrated, okay?! ✨
When I stepped onto campus as a freshman in 2017, there is no way I could’ve imagined that 9 years later I’d be a published author contributing to a book about the very institution that helped shape me.
TSU gave me opportunities, confidence, community, purpose, and a foundation that continues to impact my life every single day🥹💙
But this event was never really about me.
It was about our students.
We’re in a season where so many young people are navigating a tough economy, limited opportunities, and internships that aren’t always available—or paid. For many of our scholars, those opportunities help fund their education and prepare them for life after graduation. Through the Mentorship Program, we want to help fill that gap and continue investing in the brilliance that already exists on our campuses.
Most importantly, thank you God. For the vision. For the favor. For the people. For allowing me to turn passion into purpose and purpose into impact.
A sold-out first batch of books.
Scholarships raised.
Legacy documented.
Not bad for a TSU girl. 🐅💙✨
