REBUILDING THE ALTAR OF PRAYER IN A GENERATION

Founded in 2004, The Prayer Collective, previously known as Common Thread Ministries (CTM), was birthed from a simple yet profound vision: to rebuild the foundations of prayer. At the heart of everything we do lies a profound and deeply held belief: that prayer is not merely a religious obligation, but an intimate, personal, life-giving connection with God that has the power to reshape individuals, families, communities, and territories.

There’s only ONE worth looking to today and He’s seated in heaven. Fix your eyes on Jesus.

Happy National Day of Prayer.

If you’re reading this today, stop, look to your Father, and just pray.

Pray in secret
Pray with others
Pray early in the morning
Pray late at night
Pray in pain
Pray in grief
Pray in anger
Pray in Joy
Pray in confusion
Pray in clarity
Pray in silence
Pray out loud
Pray long
Pray short
Pray the Word
Pray in the Spirit
Pray your heart
Pray in confidence
Pray in shame

JUST PRAY.

Thank you Dunwoody Baptist Church for calling leaders together to pray.

Prayer is not simple. It's the most productive way you can spend your day. Why?

1. To accept God's invitation
- God has placed the invitation by tearing the veil of the temple. He says "come in." Are you saying "no thanks" to His invitation?

2. To war with your destructive flesh
- I'm convinced no one likes to pray. But, you CAN love Christ more than yourself. Prayer actively tells your flesh, "you do not control my life."

3. To receive what you cannot receive anywhere else
- The things we constantly seek for can only come from Him. All other options are temporary and counterfeit.

4. To ascend the hill of the Lord
- On the mountain of the Lord, you can see clearer - higher vision. This is where you receive the will of God. Start climbing and stay awhile.

5. To receive the blessings of God
- Learn to sacrifice your life for Him, even when you do not "feel it" and watch how He rewards. He rewards those who diligently seek Him. That is a promise from God.

📢 Exciting Announcement! 📢

After many years of ministry, we are stepping into a new season with a fresh identity! 🎉 Common Thread Ministries is becoming The Prayer Collective! 🙏

Our goal has always been to restore the foundation of prayer, and this new name reflects the growing movement we’re passionate about. The Prayer Collective represents a shift to a broader mission—while continuing to serve churches and the political sphere, we are now called to establish prayer altars in cities, on college campuses, and wherever God leads us. Our mission is to unite people and the church in prayer to bring transformation to communities and lives.

We know change can take time, so keep an eye on our social media and website throughout this month! You’ll see updates and a fresh look as we make this transition official.

Our heart remains the same – to walk alongside you, equip you with tools and support, and unite our communities in prayer. We are excited for the journey ahead and hope you’ll continue to be a part of this new chapter with us.
