Children will imitate what they see and hear. As a parent, you can try to instruct your children in developing healthy and nutritional habits, however, actions speak louder than words. There is a quote that states, "What you do, speaks so loudly, I can't hear a word you say!" An alcoholic parent may not teach his/her child about alcoholism nor does a parent teach a child to have uncontrolled anger but the child learns these actions by watching their parent's behavior. What kind of actions have you imprinted in the minds of the next generation? Does your walk line up with your talk? You must also model the behavior to ensure a healthy lifestyle is achieved in their lives.
