With summer here and UV levels at their peak, it's important to stay safe and be mindful of the effects it may have on your eyes - particularly if you're a swimmer or out at Lake Lanier. The UV rays can reflect off the water and cause a growth called a pterygium, or surfer's eye, to appear.
