So yea, the journey continues. Living my absolute best life, whether in a storm or a waterfall. Peace stays still around these parts.

I’m just so proud of my son. He’s out here navigating the world; in college, working, and stacking his chips.

He’s a very good mix and myself and his dad. Calm, collected, kind and a go-getter!

Since he became a teenager, I began speaking about ‘men with vision’. I told him men should have a vision for their lives so they can lead themselves and others into greatness.

I share the story of that’s what attracted me to his dad. His vision and how he has led our family into growth and stability.

His manager at his job sees him in management already, and he’s only 18.

No surprise here. He’s born to lead.

Whew… after 20+ years of marriage I’ve learned one thing for sure: every man has both a boy and a king inside of him.

The boy reacts out of ego. The king responds with vision and leadership.

Now, I’ll be honest… as a strong woman, I understand how this could be difficult for some. When you’re used to leading in business or corporate, and making big decisions, it’s easy to bring that same energy home. Next thing you know, you’re talking to your husband like he’s one of your employees. 😅

But here’s the lesson: your words have power. You can either pull out the boy… or you can call forth the king.
❌ To the boy: “You never do anything right. I can’t count on you.”
✅ To the king: “Babe, when you handle this, it makes me feel safe and supported. I appreciate you.”

Same situation. Two different outcomes.

Ladies, when you learn how to speak to the king, you’ll notice he shows up more like one. 👑❤️

I remember when I used to get so nervous pitching my speaker clients for gigs. 😅

I’d second-guess my emails, feel like I was bothering people, and—truth be told—I wasn’t fully confident in my pitch.

Whew… thank God for growth.

Now, with a clear strategy for every speaker and full alignment on who we bring into ASI Speaker Agency, I move with clarity, confidence, and conviction. 🙌🏽

Our speakers aren’t just passionate, they’re qualified.
They bring depth, solutions, and transformation.

When I launched ASI in December 2023, my vision was bold:
Become the go-to agency for speakers of color.

So, when organizations email us saying, “Who else you got?” My spirit lights up y’all! 😄

Building a powerful brand takes time.
Mistakes are part of the process.
But this?
This is what I do. 💼
I’ve been building six and seven-figure brands before it was trendy.
And ASI is no different.

We’re not here for fluff or celebrity spotlight.
We’re here to match our speakers with stages that demand real change and lasting impact.

Joy isn’t found in perfect circumstances but in a peaceful spirit that refuses to be shaken.

Whew! The joy I feel in my spirit.

There’s a certain peace that comes with deciding to keep showing up for yourself, even when it’s hard… even when things feel heavy.

Lately I’ve been reminding myself of a few truths:

✨ I honor myself by continuing to show up fully, even when the path feels heavy.
✨ Every challenge is an opportunity to rise higher with grace and dignity.
✨ Abundance flows to me and through me. I am a magnet for overflow and blessings.
✨ I give energy to the people and spaces that pour back into me.
✨ I no longer chase… I attract what is aligned and divinely mine.
✨ I am worthy of being supported, seen, and checked on.
✨ I release what drains me and lean into what nourishes me.
✨ God continues to guide, protect, and elevate me at every step.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is not force…but simply stay in position. Trusting that what’s for you can’t miss you.

Tomorrow I’m speaking in Los Angeles.

During my pre-event check-in, the host shared she’s been going through it. Twospeakers canceled and she didn’t have credible replacements lined up.

What do I do?
I go into problem-solver mode. 🔍
I pull from my local speaker database, make a call, and get her a powerhouse speaker locked in last minute. ✅

This is the beauty of being both a speaker and running a diverse, high-quality roster of professionals who can show up, impact lives, and deliver when it counts.

When you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready. 😉

This is why we speak. 🎤

After I spoke at VAME in Virginia, I received this message from a retired principal and DECA executive who came out of retirement to teach again, just to serve the next generation.
He thanked me for pouring into him. Said the tools I shared will make it back to his classroom.

That’s the power of our voice.
That’s the ripple effect of showing up.

To every speaker who’s tired, doubting, or thinking about quitting, please, please don’t. Your voice is necessary! Your wisdom is needed! The world is listening, even when you don’t think it is.
