On November 9, I called on Secretary of State Raffensperger to address voting vulnerabilities in Dominion machines through a press release from the Senate press office. Despite no response from Secretary Raffensperger or his staff, I want to acknowledge and thank the Lieutenant Governor and the Ethics Committee Chairman for their leadership on this issue. Secretary Raffensperger’s absence before the Senate Ethics Committee on November 1 is noteworthy.
To illustrate the urgency, I pose a question to my colleagues: If you knew your phone had vulnerabilities allowing bad actors to access personal information, wouldn't you upgrade it and implement controls? I believe the answer would be yes.
This is not about past elections. This is about future elections and ensuring they are safe and secure. Secretary Raffensperger, these vulnerabilities can be fixed and should be fixed. Do your job and fix them.
