A True Warrior in our industry has fallen.

“MK” Mary Kay Groves, VPO of G2 Surfaces, passed after a courageous 21-month battle with cancer.

MK was far more than a leader in business, she was a devoted mother, sister, trusted friend, and an absolute Rock Star within our industry.

MK's strength, loyalty, determination, and heart impacted everyone who had the privilege to know and work beside her.

She fought with grace, toughness, and dignity until the very end.

MK is now reunited with her husband, Rick, who passed before her. She leaves behind her son, Owen, her sisters Linda and “RO” Rosanne, and devoted boyfriend Bill, who stood faithfully by her side throughout her battle, along with countless friends, co-workers, and industry partners who loved and respected her deeply.

The loss to our G2 family and to this industry is immeasurable. But the example MK set as a professional, a leader, and a person will continue to inspire all of us moving forward. We All need a Mary Kay Groves in our lives.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Owen, Linda, Rosanne, Bill, and all of MK’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

14HR Endurance race... Ax Kametches & Justin Edmonson took Ax's Porsche 986 he bought at age 17 & stripped down to bare metal, this was an 18 month "grass roots" build. The M385 Motorsport Porsche successfully ran its 1st debut race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in February. As funds become available the car will go through a series of upgrades in preparation for future race events.

Gassed up for nighttime racing. Getting toward the end of 14 hours endurance ChampCar race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Inaugural race for M385 Motorsports and 1998 Porsche Boxter. The car lasted all 14 hours!

Great weekend for M385 Motorsports inaugural race starting with ChampCar Endurance Racing at Road Atlanta. G2 Surfaces' Project Manager, Ax Kametches, and his business partner, Justin Edmondson, built out 1998 Porsche Boxter during most of 2024. Their hard work paid off; the car lasted all 14 hours!
