Chetichand is an important festival for the Sindhi community and celebrated as New Year's Day.It marks the birth of water God (Varun devta) popularly known as Jhulelal. On this occasion I start my morning with sweet traditional Sindhi breakfast that is called as Bhori or Kutti in Sindhi. .
Ingredients:
1 cup wheat flour
4 tbsp ghee
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3-4 tbsp oil
2 tbsp sugar
Method:
Make a stiff dough by mixing wheat flour,2 tbsp ghee,salt and pepper.
Divide dog into 2 parts and make thick roti's and cook on medium flame.
While the roti's are warm crumble them and add ghee and sugar.
It tastes best when hot.

Dates,figs and Nuts fudge
its a nutritious snack,quick and easy to make.
Ingredients:
Ghee: 2 tbsp
Dates: 2 cups chopped and pitted
Figs: 2 cups chopped
Pistachios: 1/2 cup
Almonds: 1/2 cup
Cashews 1/2 cup
Walnuts: 1/2 cup
Method:
Add ghee in the pan.
Add dates and figs and cook on the medium heat till they soften.
Now add all the nuts.You can roast the nuts before adding if you like.
Cook for about 2-3 min.Mix well.
Pour the mixture on greased surface,let it cool.
Now roll it in log roll.
While rolling rub a little ghee on your palms.
Wrap the roll in cling foil and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
Now cut into 1/2 inch discs.
You can store it in airtight containers for 2-3 weeks.
