Yet, I am not sad, I am thankful that I am SURVIVING!

If you told me that by the age of 50, I would have a breast cancer diagnosis, four rounds of chemo, and a 22-year old daughter stepping up as my caregiver, I would have not believed you.

A self breast exam is not a replacement for clinical exams or mammograms — it’s an added layer of awareness. It’s about knowing your body and advocating for your health.

Take 5 minutes. Once a month.
It could save your life — or someone you love.💕

🌸I’m so inspired by the strong women in my family. They’ve shown me that through prayer, strength, and compassion, anything is possible. Rest in peace, Mama — you laid an incredible foundation that continues to guide and uplift us every day.

On Wednesdays we wear pink 💕💕

Did you know: scheduling your mammogram about a week after your period ends can make the exam noticeably more comfortable.

Here’s why:
• 🌸 During the week before your period, breasts are often more tender and swollen because of hormonal changes.
• 📅 Right after your period, breast tissue is usually less sensitive, so the compression part of the mammogram tends to hurt less.
• 👍 Some clinics even suggest this timing when you book the appointment if you’re still having regular cycles.

Bonus mini-tip: skipping caffeine (coffee, tea, chocolate) for a few days before the exam may help reduce breast tenderness for some people.

Schedule your mammogram appointment and remind a friend ☺️
