I managed to make myself some dresses this year for Dickens on the Strand. Between Truly Victorian and Lavolta Press books, I managed to render these dresses.
I am so pleased with myself😍

Final reveal for the lovely cut velvet... a fresh thigh length bustle coat using the Truly Victorian pattern.

Sewing day in my home studio that's not currently trying to kill me with the subtle bad vibes of radon. Some gorgeous cut velvet I bought from Mood as a gift to myself. What's your guess as to what it's going to be? 😁

I had 3 dresses commissioned for Dickens on the Strand this fall. I'm pleased to say they all worked up beautifully and everyone was thrilled. 🥰

A sweet 1860's ensemble, that I created several years ago is available for purchase. It consists of a double-layered skirt with loads of venice lace and satin trim, a detachable pocket belt for daywear, two bodices (one for day and one for evening), a straw hat I also built, and a wired, floral hair garland for wearing to the ball.

The day top is sheer over a cotton foundation and includes a belt with detachable pocket. The evening bodice has small poofed sleeves and is finished in satin with more of the Venice lace. Corset and hoop are not included, but can be ordered. www.waistedefforts.com
