To my friends, neighbors and constituents,

For 17 years, I have proudly served the citizens of Milton. My passion for the city, and protecting what has made this such a special place has always driven me to stay involved. I am humbled by the overwhelming support that has surrounded and encouraged me to continue my service to Milton these past months.

For years I have ethically and faithfully served you, but now a new reality has come to Milton. This environment has taken a tremendous toll on my family so today, I am choosing them and their well being above continuing my service to Milton.

I am thankful for all of you who immediately stepped up to support me. I will reach out to speak with each of you personally as much as possible. Please know that it is my greatest honor to serve on your behalf, and I will continue as I always have to represent you for the remainder of my term. My passion for Milton and serving you will never fade.

Finally caught up with Lee Collins to thank him for his service on Milton's Design Review Board. Lee began as my appointee in 2020 but had to retire earlier this year. Our volunteer boards keep us in touch with the great citizens of Milton. Thank you Lee for serving!

It was a true honor to recognize the work of Mark Law, our beloved City Arborist that we lost in 2019. His memory and legacy are being well preserved for future generations with the new Mark Law City Arboretum.

I am extremely honored to have been elected as your next Milton City Councilmember from District 2/Post 2, and to accept the responsibilities that your vote has entrusted to me.

First and foremost, I want to thank my family. My wife, Kathy, who endured long hours of meetings at our kitchen table, who participated in a lighthearted video (reluctantly at first) and quickly became a family celebrity, and who was a constant foundation of support throughout this campaign. Her support has been unwavering through our life journey, and she is always ready for our next adventure. My children and their families embraced this idea and have been my biggest cheerleaders. I’m one lucky guy.

I want to thank an amazing team of supporters who worked tirelessly to spread our message all across Milton. This could not have been done without them. Their contributions to the campaign were far reaching, and represented all ages and walks of life—from new neighbors, to our most senior citizens who want only the best for our city. We received priceless input from all four corners of Milton; I am ready to represent those voices, to continue to serve and protect the best Milton has to offer, and to ensure that the future of our community is a place we will all be proud to call home.

And I want to thank my opponent, Judy Burds, for her willingness to step up and represent a voice of the community. Her campaign reached citizens that also want a better Milton, and I have received that message. My commitment to you is to find ways to bridge that gap and make Milton a place where everyone feels that their voice is heard.

I am humbled and ready to get to work for you in January. Thank you for believing in me, Milton. I will not let you down.

Walked doors in District 2 today, and finished off with a Meet and Greet in District 3. A big thank you to the Shah’s in Crooked Creek for hosting...36 hours until the polls open!

Busy day on the trail...started off at Milton's inaugural Wall of Fame induction at Bell Memorial Park. I watched Evan Nolte (pictured) grow up, and it's amazing to see his hard work rewarded by our city.
