2nd Annual Bouquet Bar at The Terraces in Dunwoody/ATL—second favorite day of the year…just loved how truly DELIGHTED everybody was to select flowers and take a vase to their desk… ❤️ great foresight on the part of JLL to create awesome tenant events and create a true sense of community. Would totally love to work in this office complex-who wouldn’t??

When I converted the backyard from lame grass to garden beds my AC guy said “but how can you grow anything here?!”-meaning the shade… it worked out pretty well…

Each child went home with flowers on ‘Outdoor Day’. These are wonderful parent volunteers—they got the best task ever- making and giving out flowers to the kids and their teachers 🙂

By far, my favorite day of the year so far… created “Outdoor Day” with a 2nd grade class (100+!)-with LOTS of help from teachers and parents. 5 learning stations-the scented garden, planting seeds in the ground, planting in pots, garden tours and sampling edible flowers…I got so many hugs!!! Loved showing them the secret trick with snapdragons-surprised many teachers too! It was delightful!

Trial-run for a u-pick 🙂. Some friends did some cutting of snapdragons that got away from me…they went home with BUCKETS…never looks as much in the field…tons!

Found her book randomly in the library and then she was speaking at the Georgia Hydrangea Society— Brie Arthur has done a lot to advance planting edibles within ornamental landscapes. Really enjoyed her presentation—you can tuck a lot of kale in between perennials…

Recently learned that spiderwort is edible! Apparently you can use it as salad greens.. who knew! Grows easily, multiplies and is BLUE, the coveted color in the garden… liking this plant more and more!
