π§π½βπ³β€οΈπ₯ Hey, letβs make Shrimp Fried Rice (just 1 serving)
Ingredients:
1-2 green onions
1/3 carrot
2 tbsp neutral-tasting oil
1 large egg
1 cup (210g) cooked and cooled white rice (preferably day-old jasmine rice)
1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
6-7 frozen shrimp, thawed and patted dry
1 tsp fish sauce
Handful of chopped green onions to serve.
Instructions:
1. Thinly slice the green onions. Cut the carrot into small pieces.
2. In a wok (or pan), heat the oil (2 tbsp) over medium-high heat. Once it gets nice and hot, add the green onions. Saute for 1 minute or until fragrant. Crack an egg into the wok and stir it quickly.
3. Once the egg is cooked, add the rice. Increase the heat to high. Mix to combine.
4. Push the rice to one side and into the empty space, add the soy sauce. Wait for a second for that smoky umami flavor and mix them all together.
5. Add the oyster sauce and give it a few stir. Add the carrot and shrimp. (If youβre using raw shrimp, blanch it and pat dry before you add it to the wok.) Cook until the shrimp is almost done cooking.
6. Add the fish sauce along the edge of the wok. Stir-fry it for another 1-2 minutes.
7. Place on a serving plate. Serve it with any greens you like. Enjoy~!
