My motivation this month is focusing on creating a life worth living. To have time for family, travel, and passions. To enjoy the present day.
That is what drives and excites me. I want to sacrifice my time now to create more time in the future.

Friday Night Lights

These Friday nights aren't quite the same as they used to be.
Tonight, I am standing in front of the Parma Panthers AFT Senior Team. We are part of the Italian Football League's First Division.

And tonight we hit the field like we do every time. With a mindset to compete and make our goals a reality.
These players hit the field with the same intensity that I did years ago. It's extremely encouraging to see the effort and attitude that these guys are playing with.

I can't put into words the amount of pride I have with having my name attached to theirs.

Can't wait to see what the 2020 season will bring us!

Rediscovering Parma.

A little post-lunch stroll around the city never ceases to amaze me.

The Duomo may be beautiful from the outside but the inside is on an entirely different level. The attention to detail is extraordinary. It's something that I don't even want to try to put into words

I'm incredibly happy to be back in Parma, and can't believe that I get to call this city home for the next few weeks.

Being able to work from anywhere with a wifi connection definitely has its perks!!!

Nothing makes me more nostalgic than reliving an old tradition.

"Pepen Fridays" has and will forever be one of my favorite memories of living in Italy.

Today, I got to relive my past. I arrived in Parma this morning after a long overnight flight just in time to drop my bags and head out for lunch.

What better way to celebrate a return to my second home than to go to my favorite panino shop, Pepen.

Rounding the corner from Piazza Garibaldi and seeing the line already out of the door. There's not a better feeling.

Happy to be back in my second home!!

Be dedicated to make things happen because working towards your dream is one of the hardest things to do.

Right now, I'm in the middle of a transition period from my "dream" career of playing football to a new journey that I'll be sharing with you all shortly. I know there’ll be times when I just want to quit and wish I hadn’t started. But that's when I know I'll be on the brink of something great.

Keeping my focus and my eyes on the prize will be key because in the end, it’ll all be worth the sacrifices!

How did you wake up this morning?

Were you ready to go? Or did you hit the snooze a few extra times?

It's never easy after the shine has worn off. Setting goals and making adjustments to your life takes time, effort, energy, and practice.

So are you going to drop the ball today?

If you have to even question yourself on this then you need to make some changes to your mindset.

All of us go through this at some point and that's ok. But only if you snap back into reality and get back to work.

Let's attack today!

Who can relate?

Thinking that today isn't your day is just starting your week off with a negative mindset.

Doing this just leads to a negative day, which in turn leads to a negative week, month, year, etc...

So today, let's all take control and not let negative energy creep up on us. Do everything you can to reach your goal for the hour, the day, and/or the week. Keep stacking the good days on top of better ones. It's the mindset we have to take.

"Aim small, miss small!"

As I just arrived back home from one of the best "work" weeks of my life, I can't help but feel grateful.

The NFL's International Player Pathway Program is a representation of what the game of American football should be about.

I witnessed players from China, Austria, Poland, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Finland, and Mexico working harder and pushing each other further than any of them could have ever dreamed.

These 9 individuals are all working towards the same goal of one day signing an NFL contract and playing the game of football at its highest level.

Only 4 will be chosen to participate at the end of the program, but the work and growth I saw each and every day was inspiring. These guys are not just happy to be chosen to represent their country and play football. They are putting in the work to be successful. Even if they are thousands of miles from home and speaking a language that isn't native to them, no one there was making any excuses.

I can't wait to get back to work with them, and everyone please be on the lookout for their Pro Day in March!
