Community Wellness Fair Event Summary – July 11, 2026
Melanated Pearl Corporation was honored to participate as a community vendor at the Community Wellness Fair, hosted by Clayton County Public Schools District 4 Board Member Victoria Williams and Forest Park Councilman Hector Gutierrez. The event brought together healthcare providers, nonprofits, local businesses, educators, and community advocates committed to improving the health and well-being of Forest Park and Clayton County residents.
Through our Check the Pressure initiative, Melanated Pearl Corporation provided 15 free blood pressure screenings and distributed 2 blood pressure monitors to individuals who needed a way to continue monitoring their blood pressure at home. In addition to promoting heart health awareness, we distributed seasonal clothing and shoes to families, helping reduce financial burdens while ensuring community members have access to essential resources. Together, we are creating healthier communities—one conversation, one screening, and one act of service at a time. ForestParkGA ClaytonCounty ServingWithPurpose.
Today was a wonderful day of service at the Clayton Judicial Circuit Resource Fair, held at 1335 Citizens Parkway, Suite A, Morrow, GA!
Melanated Pearl Corporation was honored to serve our community by distributing seasonal clothing and shoes while officially launching our newest health initiative, Check The Pressure. Through this initiative, we provided FREE blood pressure screenings and heart health education to individuals experiencing transition, re-entry, or homelessness.
In just two hours (10:00 AM–12:00 PM), we proudly served 25 community members, helping to meet both immediate needs and promote long-term wellness. Every conversation, every blood pressure check, and every clothing item distributed represents another step toward healthier, stronger communities.
A special thank you to Shemetra Carter-Fair, Reentry Services Division | Clayton Community Coordinator, for organizing such an impactful event and bringing together organizations committed to restoring hope and providing resources.
At Melanated Pearl, we believe that regardless of what you’re going through, we all have to Check The Pressure—because taking care of your health is an important part of every journey forward.

🚀 Just landed Crystal Perry and diving straight into action! Today, we met a dedicated father who’s just secured a job but has been sleeping in his car. With a 4-year-old daughter getting ready for PreK this fall, his commitment to providing for her is inspiring. 🌟 Melanated Pearl Nonprofit
Imagine juggling work while prepping in your car—stabilizing families requires compassion and support. We’re honored to help this dad and daughter find a safe place to rest and a fresh start.
Thanks to our community advocates, we were able to connect them to a private room at Pembroke Extended Stay in Riverdale. Together, we can make a difference! 💪

📚✨ Professional growth begins with continuous learning. ✨📚
Education is constantly evolving, and the most effective educators are those who remain open to new strategies, research-based practices, and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Staying abreast of different instructional methods allows us to better meet the diverse needs of students, increase engagement, and create meaningful learning experiences.
This week, educators are diving into Marilyn Zecher’s Multisensory Math Approach, exploring hands-on techniques, visual supports, explicit instructional language, and targeted interventions designed to strengthen mathematical understanding for all learners.
Investing in professional development is more than earning a certificate—it’s about expanding our toolkit, refining our practice, and ensuring every student has access to the support they need to succeed.
As educators, when we learn, our students benefit.
🍎 Lifelong learning isn’t just for students—it’s for educators too.

As the founder of Melanated Pearl Corporation and a proud recipient of the Momentum 500, I had the honor of experiencing the energy and vision behind the 2nd Annual State of the Authority of Clayton County (SODACC) on Friday, May 1, 2026—and it was nothing short of powerful.
This event continues to stand out as a premier gathering where business leaders, developers, and policymakers come together to unpack the economic forces shaping Clayton County’s future. After a year marked by major strides in business attraction, industry expansion, airport-area investment, and workforce innovation, it’s clear that Clayton County is not just growing—it’s evolving with intention.
What resonated most with me was the shared commitment to progress that includes everyone. SODACC brought together voices from across Clayton, Fulton County, Fayette County, Henry County, and the broader metro region to focus on what matters most—expanding opportunity. From commercial growth and advanced manufacturing to small business development and technology integration, the conversations were rooted in both innovation and access.
As someone deeply invested in community impact, I was especially encouraged by the emphasis on workforce development and creating pathways for underserved communities. The insights shared and the connections made reinforced that collaboration is the driving force behind sustainable growth.
Sponsoring and participating in events like SODACC isn’t just about visibility—it’s about being in the room where decisions are made and relationships are built. It’s about aligning our work with broader economic strategies that create jobs, strengthen infrastructure, and open doors for families across our communities.
With so many transformative projects already in motion, I truly believe Clayton County is positioning itself as one of Georgia’s most promising development markets. The vision is clear, the momentum is real, and I’m proud to be part of a community committed to innovation, equity, and long-term impact.

Melanated Pearl showed up and showed out at Community Love Day! 💚✨
We were honored to serve 78 families, distributing clothing, shoes, jewelry, make-up supplies, toys, and more. Every item shared was a step toward easing financial burdens and reminding our community that they are seen, supported, and valued.
Our mission is simple: show love in action by helping families save money while meeting real needs. The smiles, gratitude, and connections made today are exactly why we do this work.
Together, we’re building stronger, supported communities—one family at a time. 💫
