Diamond Chick Consulting was recognized today for being a sponsor for an event that supports a local school through BNI Foundation!

Folks, this was a HUGE moment for DCC and I didn’t even see it coming. As you may or may not know, the mission of DCC is “to connect relevant resources in the community to make a positive impact.” Being a sponsor is not about marketing or showing off. It’s about intentionally bringing awareness and giving back to a special cause. Today, more than ever, we need to make sure our youth feel safe and cared for.

BNI Smyrna Business Exchange and BNI Foundation have partnered with Fair Oaks Elementary School to support their devoted service to the students, families and the surrounding community. To be part of this “team” makes me one happy Chick!🙂

Permission to brag? This morning at my weekly BNI meeting, I received the Notable Networking Award for most CEU’s for the month of August AND the Ivan Award for best weekly presentation!! 🎉

What makes both of these acknowledgments so special to me is because I have worked super hard to earn them.

1. Continuing Education: I’ve kicked up my game when it comes to continuing education. Part of that is through my weekly lunch and learn that I host. I’m learning alongside with others and thats been so fullfilling on so many levels!Another part of it is actually reading those amazing books that have been recommended over the years. Currently, I am reading. YOU ARE A BAD ASS AT MAKING MONEY and ATOMIC HABITS. Both are tying in Universal truths when it comes to personal and professional development, but having the right message ingrained in my head has been a game changer. (Ps. Open to other suggestions!!)

2. Ivan Award-this is an award given to the member who delivers the best “ commercial” for their company each week and I have not won the award in this chapter yet… Until today! I really put myself out on the line to make an impression and it paid off! It also as a testimonial to the power of positive thinking and manifesting-as I was preparing last night, I involuntarily said out loud, “My goal is to win this award.” )And let me tell you, the competition in this chapter is fierce so this really is a big deal!!!)

One of my big takeaways of this morning is that I allowed myself to be proud of the work I did in order to earn the recognition that I received. It definitely was not a gimmie and the lessons I’ve learned have been priceless!
