Here’s my 1974 Cadillac Eldorado. A little rusty, but floats down the road in style. Driven daily ❤️

Well, she is on her way to LA 🎉 Got her all fixed up for a friend. Still needs convertible top work…but I was happy to convert the old points distributor to OEM HEI, a full tune up, new carb, all new door and trunk locks installed, new brake master cylinder and proportioning valve, new thermostat, new driver exhaust manifold, new front e brake cable, new door jamb switch, all new bulbs in the instrument cluster, transmission filter and service including modulator, a correct OEM radiator fan and clutch installed…and all vacuum lines under the hood replaced and sorted. Runs like a top! Enjoy LA baby 🎉

Out with some old/leaking and in with some new & fresh to keep her running smooth. Trans filter, pan gasket, governor and shift seal down low….new carb up top. Gonna do a burnout tomorrow 😉

Working on this beauty for a really nice guy that had a company called Topline Covertible Specialists here in Griffin, GA charge him $6500 for this work (see photos) Just awful...and they will not respond after a year of inquiries. Anyone in the ATL area that can recommend another shop and/or individual, let me know. I can do all the other mechanical work, but these scissor tops are not in my wheelhouse. Fun to be back driving in one...even if it is just test drives after the work is complete...😃

Only been a month and a nearby owner of this pretty 74 needed some help…..so I was a mechanic today 🎉 New exhaust manifold & gaskets (less 1 broken bolt - but does not leak 😉), new distributor vacuum advance, other vacuum lines rerouted or sorted, points wire fixed, new PCV grommet and valve, new breather grommets, wires tidy’d up and a test drive to make sure she was no longer running hot on the highway…distributor advance fixed that. She’ll get an oil change tomorrow, then head to Tims Upholstery to get the top adjusted. So nice to take a short cruise in her.

Well, she found a new home today. Thrilled to have saved her 4 years ago...and got her back on the road! Lots of love and labor. On to the next project 😋
