Giving birth is life-changing and so is what happens to your body afterward. Here are some common changes new moms may experience:

1. Hair Loss – Often due to hormone shifts. It usually regrows over time.

2. Breast Changes – They may feel fuller, leak, or change size/shape.

3. Abdominal Weakness – Your core may feel weak or separated (diastasis recti).

4. Pelvic Floor Changes – You might notice bladder leaks or pressure.

5. Vaginal Changes – Swelling, dryness, or tightness are normal (and treatable!).

6. Hemorrhoids – A common result of pushing during labor.

7. Weight Fluctuation – It’s normal to lose or retain weight differently.

8. Skin Changes – Stretch marks, acne, or melasma may appear.

9. Hormonal Shifts – Mood swings, anxiety, or even depression can occur.

10. S*x Might Feel Different – Give yourself grace, and don’t hesitate to ask for help.

💬 Every body is different, and healing takes time. If something doesn’t feel right, you’re not alone and help is out there.

“I didn’t know this could happen… and I was too embarrassed to ask.”
If you’ve ever felt this way after giving birth, you’re not alone and you don’t need to suffer in silence.

Tearing during va**nal delivery is incredibly common. In fact, over half of women experience some form of it and while your body is incredibly resilient, healing isn’t always easy or straightforward.

Let’s break it down:

🔹 First-Degree Tear – Small and superficial. May heal naturally.
🔹 Second-Degree Tear – Involves deeper muscles. Often needs stitches.
🔹 Third-Degree Tear – Extends to the muscles around the a**s. Requires surgical repair.
🔹 Fourth-Degree Tear – Most severe, involving tissue all the way to the re**um.

Soreness, discomfort, and even pain with intimacy or going to the bathroom are not things you just have to live with.

👉 At Vaginal Health Center, we specialize in helping women heal physically and emotionally after birth.
No shame. No embarrassment. Just expert, compassionate care.
