After dreaming a dream for over two decades, on 10.19.2024, I have finally lived it.
This is the skull of my very first deer. I know it's "just" a doe, but this harvest means so much to me, I just had to.
I harvested her exactly 1 month after I had a seriously bad car accident, which I barely escaped, on my own property, to which I had moved just 5 months earlier.
I am so grateful for everything!
God is good, and may he bless ALL OF YOU!!!

Black Limba endgrain cuttingboard! What a spectacular wood species. And the helped enhance the beauty of the wood. The first time I used this product, and I am quite impressed with it.

Wenge is such a beautiful wood. With this charcuterie/serving board, I tried to highlight the beauty of the wenge grain by framing it in with a contrasting wood. In this case, zebra wood.
The outer frame is wenge as well. I used the edgegrain to focus attention to the center of the board.

Let me know what you think about this design.

The "exotic" board.
This one is made from padauk and zebra wood. Absolutely love the way it looks.
It also gave me inspiration for my next one...a solid zebra wood board. Can't wait to get started.
