Playoff football has been wild! Who’s been watching?

7 months and 5000 miles later, what began as a kitchen cabinet makeover became an entirely reimagined living space for a precious couple I had the honor to get to know.

The most outstanding feature of their home is the beautiful artwork, full of vibrant color. We ultimately created a cozy, airy, light ‘canvas’ for the owners and their art.

The home was a blend of medium to dark blue/grays with dark cherry floors and, as living in Florida can do, yellowed cabinetry and doors.

In keeping with the artwork, we chose pops of color the home owner loves and placed them strategically in the environment as a compliment.

The cabinetry is hand painted in striking color, gorgeous brushed gold hardware with new aft closure hinges.

Other additions include:

3/4” glass and ceramic tile backsplash, under cabinet lighting, marbleized vinyl countertop, 5” baseboards, and bamboo color LVP flooring throughout.

Walls are Behr Soft Suede, trim is Polar Bear, doors are Limousine Leather, office is Hale Navy by BM. We used a blend of finishes to create contrast. Walks, doors are matte finish. Staircase banister is semi gloss.

The formerly red leather recliner was hand painted (yes, you can paint leather and fabric furniture, if you use the right products and it still feels like buttery leather) in a coordinating teal as a statement piece in the living room.

Hinges are new. Black on top of each door. Gold on bottom of each door.

Drawers have been cleaned, polished and exteriors lined in gold/black or gold/white to match cabinet pattern.
