It's no longer about wants vs needs. It is NEEDS vs CANS. As a real estate professional, It's not just about what you need, although it is ideal and important. I want to know what you CAN afford. Needs before wants and cans before everything!

Going into 2022 we will continue to see a rise in home prices, just at a more moderate rate (approx. 8% increase). Mortgage rates are at a historic low, but are predicted to reach the mid 3% by the end of 2022.

Are you still waiting to purchase a home in hopes that the market will cool down? Things will not slow up. Housing will continue to be low and hard to find.

My advice is try looking in areas that are considered more affordable. This may be an area that isn't in your preferred locations. Make your housing requests fit your budget!
