Neurolinguistic Programming for Dummies by Romilla Ready and Kate Burton
Thanks to Hilary Eurich and everyone at .
Book overview:
Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) is a psychological, practical, results-focused approach to understanding the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behavior, and how they shape the everyday reality that people experience.
Neuro-linguistic Programming For Dummies walks you through the fundamentals of NLP, helping you gain insights into how and why you—and others—think, communicate (both verbally and nonverbally), and behave; often the result of early experiences, emotional conditioning, and unconscious beliefs formed over time.
Understanding the patterns that you operate daily enables you to consciously do more of what works for you to create the results you want in your life and less of what gets in the way of your success. With this deeper understanding about yourself, your goals become more tailored to who you truly are—and more achievable as a result.
By understanding how others operate, you can adjust the way you communicate to create deeper rapport and exercise greater trust, influence, and clarity.
This is a must-listen for professionals who are doing their best to navigate contemporary life.

Earlier this week, I had the great pleasure of directing Dr. Charis Chambers () as she recorded the audio version of her book “The Period and Puberty Parenting Revolution.”
Dr. Chambers is very passionate about serving and guiding menstruating girls and their parents through their personal journey, and it showed in the work and through her smile!
I truly enjoyed working with such a great team filled with positive energy!

Today we lost a powerful voice. One that spoke up and spoke out for all that he believed in. We lost a great leader.
Rev. Jesse L. Jackson.
His presidential campaigns of the 80s were a big deal! Through him, we saw a Black man running for President long before we knew President Obama. Jesse Jackson paved the way. His message of “Keep hope alive!” resonated with me, as it was the first time I believed that it was possible. Even though he didn’t win, he was an influential voice in American government.
As a fellow Aggie, I remember hearing him speak at a graduation that I attended as a student and band member. Seeing him up close, standing up and speaking for things that mattered to and affected me definitely had a positive impact on my identity as a Black person.
I will forever remember that moment and the influence that he had on my life and the lives of so many others. Thank you for your life of service Rev. Jackson.
Rest well.
