Aria, my daughter, went to the aquarium last year and LOVED it. The bigger than animal was, the more in awe she was. My response: draw her as a mermaid swimming with her whale shark friend. 🧜‍♀️🐋

I thank all my amazing moms: my mom, step mom, aunt who everyone thought was my mom, and mother-in-law — all wonderful women. I thank them for all done in my life. To them: I love you all so very much.

And I am grateful for my little one who made me a mom. ❤️

I like looking back at old work. Old sketches, completed projects, whatever it is. I found this guy from 2021. I believe I was trying to design stickers. I think he is so cute and is a good reminder that "you are turtley awesome!"

Floral pattern inspired by my step mom! I was visiting her while she was sick one day and asked about her favorite flowers. She said magnolia trees and lilies. I drew while she kept talking. I really love the way these flowers compliment each other in this design. It's also organic and geometric all at the same time.

The first picture is me back in January preparing for the year. I am definitely not on the track I'd planned for, but I'm grateful for where I am.

The second one is me scheduling this specific post with a helper who stopped by. 😉 😸

I was asked to draw Laken Riley for a wedding. They wanted a way to honor her, and I hope she was honored well in this artwork.

These kinds of drawings are hard. You are trying to capture personality you may not know. Yet, in the end, you end up recreating personality, beauty, and small details you may not even realize.

I love creating memory artwork. I love to hear the stories and memories. I love to even have the chance to honor people or settings through this gift I've been given. It makes me want to hear stories about Laken and her friend's friendship, about their experiences together, and about Laken's life as a whole.

My mom loves sunflowers. She has sunflowers painted on her kitchen cabinets with matching sunflower containers.

My daughter is our little light, our ray of sunshine.

And roses simply compliment the sunflowers.
