Playing along to his favorite songs, Sam Warren began the cultivation of a long musical journey on his own; A longtime partner, Chris Fernandez, began playing with sam roughly six months later. This friendship would blossom into a joint musicianship that would prove itself to be rock solid and provide a strong musical foundation for Chi Gun years later. Venturing out to start writing original mate
rial, Fernandez reached out to longtime friend and fellow guitarist Scott Whited in the spring of 2013 to write a song for the high school talent show. The song was extremely well received and ushered in a new era of creativity among the musicians. Backstage, Sam Warren, who had been an independent musician for the months prior to this show, vowed to join in this new group. That summer, the trio wrote several songs, and upon experimenting with recording, decided a bass player was essential to the new sound they were creating. In early August, Jaon Matthew Bartels attended his first practice and fit like a glove. Chi Gun was formed and the music hasn't stopped flowing since. Chi Gun was formed by four melodic minds with one common goal. We make original music that generates feeling among listeners. With countless directionless inspirations , Chi Gun blends styles in a way that amounts to a unique sound. These are the sounds of a new generation poised to captivate.
