Seasonal fruits and vegetables sold on Highway 72 about 2.5 miles east of I-65 in Athens,AL. Isom's Orchard in Athens, is in its fourth generation of growers.
Wes Isom, current owner and farmer is proceeded by his grandfather, E.K, who started growing peaches before World War II, and his father, Joe, who established the fruit stand we know now in 1957. Isom’s is a family business run by Wes, Marlene and children. Isom's will provide you with a wide variety of only the freshest and tastiest produce grown right on our farm! Our season typically runs April

Vegetables: Sweet Onions, Squash / Zucchini, Okra, Potatoes, Green Beans, Tomatoes
Shelled Peas & Beans: green Butterbean, speckled Butterbean, little lady peas, purple hull peas
Raw Local Honey & Small-Batch Jams/Jellies

Peach season is here 🍑
June : Yellow Cling varieties
July - Sept : Yellow Freestone varieties and a few limited White meat varieties
🍑 Cling peaches: the flesh sticks tightly to the pit and are earlier-season varieties.
🍑 Freestone peaches: the pit easily separates from the flesh and are later-season varieties.
The difference is simply how the pit attaches & it doesn’t affect flavor.
