Welcome to Reflections on Grief. I have learned that we all grieve differently as we travel this lonely road.
This site was created for individuals dealing with grief to post their thoughts, ramblings, and meaningful quotes or scriptures.
Please feel free to post comments from your thoughts…both struggles and praises.
Remember most of the readers of these posts are kindred spirits and have lost someone close to them. The loss could manifest in a number of different ways. Death, divorce, betrayal by someone, or other forms. All have a grief component that has to be dealt with in our own way.
Grief, I have learned is really just love. It's all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers in the corner of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Greif is just love with no place to go. Jamie Anderson
The genesis of starting this site was because of the loss of the love of my life after a very short illness. He was my best friend, confidant and the wind beneath my wings. He left me with wonderful memories but a broken-heart.
Grief is just really the cost of losing someone near to you.
This site is a reflection of my personal grief journey. As I write this, I am far from saying that my grief is over or put in the proper perspective. I am equally as far from seeing memories evoke smiles rather than an abundance of tears.
Many books, articles and postings have been written about grief and I do not intend to replicate or replace those. These are simply my reflections and ramblings. I have read a number of books, articles, and quotes about grief and received inspiring greeting cards. Many of these have formed the reflections that you will see in the posting.
I am a woman of the Christian faith and you will find this contains scripture from the Bible and prayers. There is some secular information but much of this is Bible-based. In addition, you may find some of my thoughts redundant.
My hope is that you will feel free to share your insights because they may help someone else more than you can imagine.
