We are thrilled to announce this year's event theme artist: Gunnar Tarsa!

Gunnar has created the logos for this year's AthFest Music & Arts Festival and will create the AthHalf Half Marathon & 5K logo! His art will be featured in designs by Camille Hayes Design for social media, billboards, print ads and event merchandise.

He was born in New Jersey, but Gunnar spent most of his childhood in Gwinnett County, before moving to Athens in 2013 to attend the University of Georgia, where he earned a BFA in Drawing and Painting. Gunnar is the founder of Scribble Warlock, a business specializing in digital art.

Gunnar submitted to be the AthFest Theme Artist because he has long been interested in the festival and the timing was perfect with his current artistic style. His designs for AthFest are in line with his core aesthetic, which is, what he calls, "a sort of alien-ation imagination in mostly primary colors."

His core idea for the AthFest designs is based around a spaceship built out of an A and a F and a space robot he thinks of as AthMan. His designs are built out of these components, and the alien world they inhabit.
