looking through photos as I prepared to submit to the College Photographer of the Year contest, I stumbled upon many unedited or rejected images (like this one).

At Fall Festival 2022 in Athens, Ohio, this person had a model of the car they were showing.

Posting destinations out of order but it’s because I’m loving being here in the moment too much to spend the time to edit the images 🤭

I love my job on campus for many reason, but one of the big ones is because I get the opportunity to explore and develop skills in both photography and design! Today, I spent a lot of time practicing HDR roomscapes. (Idk what a room picture is technically called, but i’m coining roomscape if it doesn’t already have a name lol.)

Last spring, I changed my major from photojournalism to commercial photography. However, I really enjoy the opportunity to try new things because I continue photographing with . This week, I got to try photographing two different sports!

Sports is definitely not my strong suit, and honestly I find it incredibly intimidating. But I tried, and I’m so glad I did! I had so much fun and I got to see in real time how much my skills have improved.

I’ve never photographed baseball or track, but I captured a couple solid images at each event. I saw how I was able to adapt to different situations, and my knowledge of photography in action. Not even saying these images are great (trust I’ve already looked for things that could have been done better), but I’m proud of myself for my growth and boldness!

This past weekend, I attended a workshop with BurkleHagen] and with several of my peers. I am so so grateful to have been part of such a wonderful learning experience! So much to take away about studio processes, collaboration, styling, retouching, networking, business management, and the creative industry. I had so much fun working with , , and to create this stunning Polish Boy image! Thanks for being an awesome team!
