Yesterday, the REI Utility Services team came together for our Summer Field Day in Athens, Texas. It was a chance to step away from the day-to-day, connect with coworkers, enjoy some friendly competition, and recognize the people who make REI what it is.
From team-building activities and games to great food and employee appreciation, the day was a reminder of the strong culture we've built together.
Thank you to everyone who participated and to those who helped make the event possible. We appreciate all that our employees do for our customers, communities, and each other.

Ten years ago, REI Utility Services started with a dad and his two sons. Today, nearly 100 of us help serve utilities and communities across the country.

This Memorial Day, REI Utility Services remembers the courageous men and women who laid down their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice and dedication will never be forgotten.
REI Utility Services is now providing pole testing services to electric utility providers across the Southeast.
Most pole failures don't announce themselves. Decay, internal voids, and structural deterioration typically start underground and out of sight — long before there's any visible sign of a problem above grade. By the time it's obvious, you're looking at an unplanned outage, a safety incident, or an emergency replacement on someone else's timeline.
A proactive pole testing program changes that. Through a combination of visual inspection, sounding, and bore testing, our team assesses the structural integrity of your poles at ground line — the most vulnerable point — so you can make informed decisions about treatment and replacement before a failure forces your hand.

10 years ago, REI Utilities was just 2 people sitting around a kitchen table in Athens, Texas. A big idea. A lot of determination. And a belief that hard work and doing things the right way would take us somewhere.
Today, that small locally owned company has grown into a multi state operation with more than 100 people across several locations. What started in Athens has turned into something far bigger than we ever imagined.
We’re incredibly thankful for the people who show up every day, the clients who trust us on their projects, and the partners who have supported us along the way. Every step of this journey has been built by people who believed in what we were creating.

The work we do in the field gets most of the attention, but the work happening behind the scenes is just as impressive. Every map, every plan, and every detail matters. Before crews ever step into the field, a lot of time goes into making sure everything is accurate, efficient, and ready to go.
Out in the field, our crews are using advanced equipment and specialized tools to capture precise data utilities rely on every day. It is detailed, technical work that requires experience, accuracy, and the right technology.
Watch closely. This is what real field precision looks like.
