The COVID-19 pandemic has created many challenges to community mental health. It is important to know where our community experiences the greatest need in order to create appropriate responses to support improved emotional wellbeing. Participation in this study will involve one online, recorded focus group where you answer questions and discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown enabled or constrained your mental wellbeing with other participants.
Your participation in this study will help Ohio University and/or the Athens community know where gaps in services or knowledge about resources exist. The information we learn from these focus groups will help us know where resources are needed to support mental health as we emerge from pandemic lock downs. In addition, what we learn in mental health focus groups can help us extend and improve community mental health resources and systems that will last beyond the current crisis.
We can offer $15 gift cards for participation in a 30-45 minute focus group. Interested? Fill out the intake survey here: https://bit.ly/3utDzaE
