Friday morning we lost a beloved family member of the Astoria Liquor Store. Brian Hartley passed away suddenly from lymphoma. His loss has taken a piece of all our hearts. We will always remember his kind heart, infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. Thank you for kind words, hugs and thoughts. ❤️

Many people are concerned about liquor stores closing. We have been classified as an essential business, so we will remain open. However, we are adjusting hours and will have a few new rules applied to our business.

New hours:
Monday: 11-6
Tuesday: 11-6
Wednesday: 11-6
Thursday: 10-6
Friday: 11-6
Saturday: 11-6
Sunday: closed

We will most likely have to limit the number of people in the store at one time and maintain social distancing of 6 feet between customers.

Layered Lemonade Drops

6 oz. vodka
1 c. mango lemonade
1 c. pink lemonade blended with ½ cup of strawberries
1 c. regular lemonade
1 c. ice

1. Fill blender with 1/3 of vodka and mango lemonade and ice. Blend and set aside. Repeat 2 more times, first with strawberry/pink lemonade then regular lemonade.

2. Chill each mixture, and keep each layer chilled until ready to pour in glass. Pour into serving glass in layers starting with mango mix, then strawberry/pink lemonade mix, and lastly regular lemonade.

3. Enjoy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Why not try an Irish Flag?

1/3 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
1/3 oz Creme de Menthe
1/3 oz Grand Marnier Orange liquor

Start by pouring the Creme de Menthe. Next slowly pour the Bailey's over the back of a spoon. Finally, add the Grand Marnier by also pouring slowly over the back of a spoon. Enjoy!

S'mores Martini

2 oz marshmallow vodka
1 oz chocolate liqueur
1 oz creme de cocoa
2 oz cream or half and half
1 oz chocolate melted
3 marshmallows
1 graham cracker

Melt chocolate and dip rim, cover w crushed graham cracker. Mix the rest in a shaker with ice. Pour into prepared glass. Enjoy!

Holiday eggnog!
Mix:
* 1 part Kahlua
* 1 part Jameson Irish Whiskey
* 4 parts eggnog (use Pennsylvania Dutch for an extra kick!)
Serve over crushed ice or blend. Top with whipped cream and nutmeg. Drink!

Thanksgiving in a glass!

* Spiced cider
* Pinnacle Pumkin Pie Flavor
* Cinnamon
* Nutmeg powder
* Whipped cream

Warm your cider, place cinnamon stick in glass, add 1 part vodka per 2 parts cider, top with whipped cream and nutmeg--drink!
